Spitzer-Swallows may have political taints. No jokes, please.

Matt Yglesias is worried about incompetence. I say he has nothing to fear. But, of course, the incompetent nit-wits running the insane asylum.

WTF is up with the Pope and George Bush on Easter?

In his effort to be all-dumbasses to all jackasses, John McCain is now saying he will out-Bush Bush. And by that I mean “screw the country if given the chance”. But as a consolation, he’ll give us shitty healthcare. As if we didn’t have that already.

A slightly scary question:

What do you do if you find yourself in an illiterate culture with no memory, which values action and strength, and has the vanity to assume that because it has economic, military, and political ascendancy over the remnants of older cultures, that therefore they have nothing to learn from those others?

If Jesus loves you, why does he want to send you to hell?

40 days without coffee? Oh. My. FREAKING. God.

Declining church? It’s all demographic.

DC, Md, and Va are holding their primaries today – so I’m not updating the counters until the voting is done. Still, other things are happening.

Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell isn’t afraid to talk about bigotry, though he doesn’t seem bothered by it.

. “I believe, looking at the returns in my election, that had Lynn Swann [2006 Republican gubernatorial candidate] been the identical candidate that he was –well-spoken [note: Mr. Rendell did not call the brother "articulate"], charismatic, good-looking — but white instead of black, instead of winning by 22 points, I would have won by 17 or so.”

My, my, my. Shall we get into the (very obvious) implication that Lynn Swann is not Barack Obama? Nah, that’s too easy.

Senate Democrats voted to trod on the Constitution. It’s just a piece of paper, after all.

Whatever happened to Christianity?

And, of course, there’s the quacking like a duck thing…

Hillary should be worried.

Get out the cigars – democracy is dead in the Democratic Party.

Joe Lieberman is one more step closer to being thrown out of the Democratic Party.

Obama’s people are saying he can’t win Ohio or Texas – which would make it impossible for him to win before the convention.

The USA Today blew it by calling Missouri for Clinton.

Here’s some evidence that parts of America might not be ready for a black President.

Politico credits big state wins with making Hillary Clinton the front-runner. The truth is, it’s her super-delegates. It is her institutional support that has put her ahead early and has put Obama in the position that he must win overwhelming victories to just catch up. Or, as Jerome Armstrong puts it, a tie goes to Clinton.

A look ahead from TAPPED.
