Aged men are taken for granted all too often. Even as a young female Ex-Texan in New York, I prefer to spend an evening listening to the stories of an old man rather than the raucous thunderings of the city nightlife. And the cigarette-worn voices don't just sound sweet because of their endearing character. Those voices speak to our hearts because they express wisdoms only time can bring. I'll admit happily that although I enjoy my youth for the moment, I cannot wait to be an old lady. Every wrinkle confirms worry for someone you cared for, trouble you overcame, and a lost story.
