We are all Mumbai-ans!

To echo Rabbi Arthur Waskow, “There is no path to peace. Peace is the path!”

Unfortunately, too many people know what it means to lose a loved-one to senseless violence. This does not mitigate the horror. It does not fill the hole left in our hearts for those we will never see in this world again. In this place, which does not physically exist, everyone is invited to offer their prayers and well-wishes.

This is my prayer:

I pray for those who are suffering, that they may know relief. I pray that their pain may turn to compassion for others so injured, and not to hatred. I pray for restraint for all involved. Make me an instrument of peace, even if I am imperfect and fallible in my actions.

Please, feel free to log in and post your own comment and/or prayer.

I agree. We must all pray for peace. I always say “God bless us ALL” not just the USA. We are not an island-we are all connected. If there is unrest somewhere in the world-it affects us all.

I pray that all concerned are graced with both the will, and the capacity, to forgive.

In these cases forgiving musn't mean forgetting; I pray that all concerned are inspired to make choices that take history into account in such a way that the root causes of these angry hate fulled crazed actions are addressed so that we eliminate/minimize their recurrence.

I pray that people of wisdom and good will are empowered to take the actions required to both bring justice in this case and to manifest the Grace and compassion that will be required to heal the rifts and illusions that underlies all hate.

We must fight the desperation and insanity that breeds terrorism. We must all join together and make sure everyone has a chance for hope
