Meanwhile, away from the Potomac
DC, Md, and Va are holding their primaries today - so I’m not updating the counters until the voting is done. Still, other things are happening.
Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell isn’t afraid to talk about bigotry, though he doesn’t seem bothered by it.
. “I believe, looking at the returns in my election, that had Lynn Swann [2006 Republican gubernatorial candidate] been the identical candidate that he was –well-spoken [note: Mr. Rendell did not call the brother "articulate"], charismatic, good-looking — but white instead of black, instead of winning by 22 points, I would have won by 17 or so.”
My, my, my. Shall we get into the (very obvious) implication that Lynn Swann is not Barack Obama? Nah, that’s too easy.
Senate Democrats voted to trod on the Constitution. It’s just a piece of paper, after all.
Whatever happened to Christianity?
And, of course, there’s the quacking like a duck thing…
