Super-Tuesday Delegate Total Update
It still isn’t final. But here’s where it stands right now:
Hillary Clinton: 823
Barack Obama: 741 (trails Clinton by 84 delegates)
2,459 delegates remain uncommitted
John McCain: 680
Mitt Romney: 270 (trails McCain by 410 delegates)
1,238 delegates remain uncommitted
Democrats have a primary in Washington and caucuses in Nebraska and Louisiana this Saturday. Louisiana has 56 pledged delegates and 12 super-delegates. Nebraska has 24 pledged and 7 super-delegates delegates. Washington has 78 pledged delegates and 19 super-delegates. That’s a total of 158 delegates and 38 super-delegates.
In Washington, Clinton has a narrow lead – 36-31 with 25% of voters undecided. I can’t find any polling data for Nebraska or Louisiana. Wonderful.
Obama has done well in caucus states, but I’m not sure how the mano-a-mano dynamic works out. If Obama manages to take both of them and battles even with Clinton in Washington, then we could end up with a new front-runner.
Or not.
