Pastor Dan made Tony Perkins his “Wanker of the Day” for this comment:
It is hard not to draw a line between the hostility that is being fomented in our culture from some in the secular media toward Christians and evangelicals in particular and the acts of violence that took place in Colorado yesterday.
Right. Except it had nothing to do with the secular media:
The gunman believed to have killed four people at a megachurch and a missionary training school had been thrown out of the school a few years ago and had been sending it hate mail, police said in court papers Monday.
Yes, it is the “secular media” that got him thrown out.
In a statement, the training center said health problems kept Murray from finishing the program. It did not elaborate. Murray did not complete the lecture phase or a field assignment as part of a 12-week program, Youth With a Mission said.
“The program directors felt that issues with his health made it inappropriate for him to” finish, it said.
His health didn’t make it “impossible” for him to finish, only “inappropriate”. You gotta wonder what kind of health problems would make it inappropriate for a person to be trained as a missionary. Whatever it is, it can in no way be blamed on the “secular media”. This guy isn’t a wanker – he’s an asshat.
